Under the Spanish sky. The new seafront in Barcelona.

In 2004, the Universal Forum of Cultures was organized at Barcelona and the seaside area was developed to house the event.
It covered 30 hectares between the Barcelona Olympic port and Sant Adrià de Besòs, and culminated the urban regeneration program started for the 1992 Olympics.
The plan 22@ and the Fórum in Barcelona converted the industrial neighborhood of Poblenou into an innovative district where the contemporary architecture mixes with the industrial heritage.
Here are some pictures taken during our trip organized by the Spanish Embassy in Bern, Interiors from Spain and Icex, that gave us the chance to visit the district and its innovative buildings designed by architects, such as:
B720 Arquitectos, David Chipperfield Architects, Herzog & De Meuron, MBM (Martorell-Bohigas-Mackay), Jean Nouvel, OAB (C. Ferrater - P. Genard- X.Martí), Josep Benedito and Ramon Valls, Fermín Vázquez, Cloud 9, Enric Ruiz-Geli, BAAS, Jordi Badia, EMBA (Estudi Massip-Bosch arquitectes).
So much to see under the Spanish sky.
